Game Maker sucks. Flash and C++ are what the pros use, in my opinion.

Not bad for a simple avoider. It's a fun way to do a proof-of-concept for collision systems. For the next one, you should look into some ways around the right-click trick. I think what a lot of them do is have the player avatar be a separate element that follows the mouse, rather than the mouse cursor itself. That way, when you right-click and move, all you change is the mouse position and not the player's position. Of course, then you lose a bit of precision control, so there's a tradeoff..

This hasnt got the right click cheat.
I used hittest instead of rollover, so if you right click you cant win anyway, because the circle will stay in the same place and hit the walls, thus game over.
